Melanie Verwoerd is a former Member of Parliament for the ANC (1994-2001), South African Ambassador to Ireland (2001-2005) and Executive Director of UNICEF Ireland. In 2007 she was awarded the Irish Tatler International Woman of the Year award. She is the author of the best-selling book "When We Dance", a memoir published in South Africa under the title "The Verwoerd who Toyi-Toyied". She is also the author of “Our Madiba” and “21 at 21”. Her newest book and podcast "Never waste a good hysterectomy" were released in April 2023. She has been ranked one of the top two political analysts in South Africa by the Financial Mail. She also writes for many local and global publication and for 8 years wrote a weekly column for news24.com.
Francis Marais joined Morningstar Investment Management South Africa in November 2022. He is responsible for developing new and managing existing, proprietary investment products; ensuring that we offer high-calibre, competitive products that serve our client's financial needs. He is a CFA® charterholder and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree in Financial Analysis from the University of Stellenbosch. Francis also completed his MBA through the University of Stellenbosch Business School (USB) in 2020.
